Join the Brightwater team in a structured, sommelier-led exploration of modern Australian wine, presented in partnership with Legend Wine Imports and led by Master Sommelier Jonathan Ross. The focus of this workshop is to deliver a high-level but approachable educational experience that connects theory to real-world application in this industry-only session for both culinary students and industry professionals alike.
About Legend Wine Imports
Legend Wine Imports specializes in sourcing terroir-driven, independently produced wines with a strong emphasis on authenticity and regional expression. Their Australian portfolio leans toward producers who prioritize:
Site-specific vineyard practices
Minimal intervention winemaking
Balance and freshness over heavy extraction
Clear representation of regional identity
Rather than the traditional “big, bold” stereotype often associated with Australia, Legend’s selections highlight the shift toward elegance, structure, and drinkability that defines the country’s modern wine scene.
About Jonathan Ross
Jonathan Ross, MS, will lead the tasting and provide guided instruction throughout. As a Master Sommelier, he brings a deep level of expertise in both theory and service and is known for presenting complex topics in a way that is engaging and practical. Jonathan breaks down regional typicity in a clear, digestible way, connecting vineyard and winemaking decisions to what’s in the glass and offering real-world selling language and positioning strategies through interaction and discussion.
