The Burning Through The Basics Kitchen Readiness course offers hands-on culinary training, professional development skills, and the opportunity to earn your ServSafe® Food Handler certification - all while feeding the community through a partnership with MayDay Community Kitchen and St. James Food Bank! Jump start or advance your career in the restaurant industry with this FREE 4-day course.
This course will meet on October 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th. Attendance at all four sessions is required. You'll be automatically enrolled in all four dates upon registration.

This course involves assistance with job placement, resume editing, and interview practice and is intended for individuals seriously considering a job in a professional kitchen. You can check out our “Conquer the Kitchen” classes for specialized food preparation courses without the workforce development aspect!
Participants in this course will earn their ServSafe® Food Handler Certification. This course does not offer ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification. Please see our two-day “ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification” courses if you’d like to explore a free opportunity for this state mandated certification option.
